Mrs. Blessing Onuh, the All Progressives Congress, APC, candidate for Otukpo/Ohimini Federal Constituency and daughter of former Senate President, Senator David Mark, has been declared the winner of Saturday’s election in the constituency.
The INEC Returning Officer, Prof. Inner Mathias, who announced the result on Monday, said Blessing scored 29,031 to beat her closest rival, Mr. Alex Ogbe of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, who polled a total of 21,742 votes.
In a related development, the APC candidate in the Ado/Okpokwu/Ogbadibo Federal Constituency election, Chief Philip Agbese, garnered 19,083 to beat Aida Nath of the PDP, who got 15,202 while the Labour Party candidate, Ralph Otobo polled 14,960 votes.
Also, Terseer Ugbor of APC claimed the House of Representatives seat in the Kwande/Ushongo Federal constituency.
Declaring the result in Adikpo Kwande LGA, the Returning Officer, Prof. Zaiyor Patrick, said, Ugbor scored a total of 40,813 votes to beat his closest rival and incumbent lawmaker, Bob Tyough of the PDP, who polled 19,489 votes, while Prof. Kohol Iornen of the NNPP got 13,172 votes.
Similarly, In the Oju/Obi Federal Constituency, David Ogewu of the APC emerged victorious with 26,450 votes to beat the incumbent and PDP candidate, Mr. Samson Okwu, who garnered 12,506 votes.
Also, in the Katsina-Ala/Ukum/Logo Federal constituency, Mr. Solomon Wombo of the APC scored 59,595 votes to beat the incumbent, Mr. Richard Gbande, who got 39,415 votes
