As muslims across the globe celebrate Eid-el-Kabir, the Owaloko of Iloko-Ijesa, Oba (Dr.) Akeem Olusayo Ogungbangbe, has urged muslims to remain peaceful, law abiding and uphold the tenets of Islam.
In a statement released by his media aide, the monarch admonished muslims to be guided by the teachings of Prophet Mohammed (SAW)
He said: “Islam is a religion of peace; development would be attracted to peaceful environment.
“Any association fighting the cause of Islam by shedding of blood is satanic and does not reflect the message of the Holy Quran.”
Owaloko thanked clerics for their patriotism, courage and commitment in urging muslims to remain veritable in their message during sermons.
