Ekiti State Governor, Mr. Biodun Oyebanji, has approved the elevation of primary school teachers in the state from Grade Level 15 to Grade Level 16, effective immediately.
This decision brings primary school teachers on par with their civil service counterparts, demonstrating Ekiti State Government’s commitment to eliminating discrimination and ensuring equal opportunities for advancement and support.
Professor Femi Akinwumi, Chairman of the Ekiti State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), announced the approval, highlighting the government’s dedication to shared prosperity for the state’s workforce.
He encouraged teachers to maintain the high standards that have earned Ekiti State the reputation as “the Fountain of Knowledge and the Land of Honour.”
The government has also demonstrated its commitment to motivating the teaching workforce by providing a conducive teaching environment and various incentives, including a car and housing loans policy, which was recently amended.
