EID-EL-KABIR: OGUN FIRST LADY CHARGES PARENTS ON PROPER CHILD UPBRINGING

ABEOKUTA – As a way of making this year’s Ileya celebration a joyous and unforgettable moment for children in Ogun State, the wife of the  State Governor, Mrs. Bamidele Abiodun hosted over 3,000 school children to a lavish party.

The children who were drawn from all the the 20 local governments of the State converged on the playing ground located in the premises of the Governor’s office, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta to have fun.

The colourful party, featured quiz competition, dancing competition, face paintings, cutting of cake and castle bouncing, presentation of gifts among others.

In her address, the first Lady charged the children to be obedient to their parents and teachers.

The wife of the Governor expressed gratitude to Allah (GOD), for blessing the children with wisdom, knowledge and understanding in their faith and education.

Mrs Abiodun said the event offered the opportunity to express gratitude to Allah for blessings of wonderful Children in Ogun State and continuous grace. 

She urged the children to listen to their parents and teachers as through them learning and growth would be easy. 

“The Ileya celebration is very symbolic and historic, the period teaches sacrifice, faith, confidence, patience and belief in God. We must continue to thank God for the grace to see the celebration. “

Mrs Abiodun however, charged parents to be patient and pay dutiful attention to their children’s upbringing. 

Proper upbringing, she said “this is the growing process that best express love to your wards, and do not  relent in making efforts that will ensure proper upbringing and growth of your wards”.

Her words: “The welfare of these wards and teachers met our cardinals objective as goverment. We will stop at nothing until they get the neccessary support they needed to excel and succeed “.

The First Lady, said ” I Charged you children to be very upright and dutiful in your learning in school. This, will assist in making you fit into the technology driven society that is beginning to emerge.”
