The Uyo Zonal Command of the EFCC is set to partner with the Federal Fire Service Zone E, Akwa Ibom State, to train officers of the Command on fire prevention and safety.

Both agencies reached this conclusion on Thursday, September 15, 2022 when the newly- posted Commander of the Federal Fire Service, Assistant Controller General, ACG Philip Abang Odu, paid a Courtesy Visit to the Uyo Zonal Commander of the EFCC, Assistant Commander of the EFCC, ACE Bawa Hamidu Saidu in his office.

While welcoming Odu and his team to the Command, Bawa noted that being safety conscious prevents a lot of mishaps and officers can only discharge their duties when they are alive and safe. “Safety is very vital and it’s the duty of everyone to keep everybody safe, at least, we have to be safe to be able to discharge our duties or do anything at all”, he said
