Gunmen have reportedly killed Samson Omoarebokhae, a senior special assistant to Edo House of Assembly Speaker Blessing Agbebaku, in a tragic incident on August 31.
According to Ivy Adodo-Ebojele, the speaker’s spokesperson, Omoarebokhae was attacked and killed while traveling from Ozalla to Uhumora in Owan West LGA.
The speaker promptly sent a condolence delegation, led by Chief of Staff Odion Iruobe, to comfort the bereaved family. Iruobe described Omoarebokhae’s death as a significant loss, urging the family to find solace in God’s promises.
Adodo-Ebojele noted that Omoarebokhae was a trusted aide to the speaker, and his passing has left a void. She offered prayers for the family to find strength and comfort during this difficult time.
“Though it is a painful situation, we pray to God in His infinite power to give the family a reason to smile again. We pray to God to repose the soul of the deceased and give the family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss,” she said.
Elijah Omoarebokhai, the deceased’s brother, expressed gratitude to the speaker for his support and solidarity during their period of grief.
