Delta Police Arrest Suspected Gun Runners, Recover Fabricated AK-47 Rifle

The Delta State Police Command has announced the arrest of suspected gun runners in various locations in Uvwie and Warri South local government areas.

According to a statement by the command’s spokesperson, Edafe, one of the suspects, Sunday Moses, was initially arrested with a fabricated AK-47 rifle and subsequently led the police to the arrest of other suspects.

The police commissioner, CP Olufemi Abaniwonda, had directed a team led by ASP Julius Robinson to search for the suspects, which resulted in a successful operation.

The commissioner emphasized that crime can be tackled at any stage and encouraged residents to trust the policing process by providing valuable information to the police.
