Covid-19 Lockdown, Victory Life Bible Church distributes food items to villagers

Philanthropic Organisations, religious bodies and well spirited individuals have been charged to lend a helping hand to the less privileged in the society as well as partner the authorities to cushion the effects of covid-19.

The General Overseer of Victory Life Bible Church, Apostle Lawrence Achudume threw this challenge while distributing some relief packages and a transformer to some villagers around the church’s headquarters @ Ajebo in Abeokuta.

Warning that the downtrodden in the society should not be left to suffer at a time like this,Apostle Achudume who also distributed bags of rice to some police stations in Abeokuta advised politicians not to play politics with the unfortunate development adding that funds released should be judiciously utilised because God will not be happy with anyone who toys with the people’s lives.

The cleric who saw the need for government functionaries to always provide the needed functional facilities posited that lack of basic health equipments add to pressures on the health workers as well as other stakeholders that are in the frontline services to curtail t the outbreak.

Apostle Achudume, however, observed that the outbreak has suddenly created avenues for people of the world to seek the face of urgently urging members of the public to strictly comply with the stay-at-home directive which takes effect from 11pm this Friday in Ogun state.

The religious leader also lauded the government for the steps taken so far to contain the spread saying that the early diagnosis and prompt intervention by health personnel should be sustained in the handling of covid-19.

In their remarks, the baale Lagbayun ,Chief Nofiu Idowu Baale Abule nla/palm wine Chief Abiodun Olojede and Chief Emmanuel Oguntoyinbo of Akinseku village lauded Apostle Achudume for donating the transformer and food items at this trying period in the country.

Also speaking, the Baale of Abata village, Chief Ramoni Sodeinde,Chief Gabriel Akanbi of Olaotan village and Chief Rasaki Abati of Atoku village said VLBC has been a shining light in the area since its establishment just as they charged other religious leaders to emulate Apostle Achudume adding that service to humanity is the main purpose of the church.
