There is no doubt that the extension for the lockdown in Ogun State ends today the 3rd April, 2020 and a lot of persons have taken the advantage of helping the needy.
It is on record that King Ambassador Habeeb Whyte has embarked on series of programmes which is aimed at helping the less privileged persons in Abeokuta, Ogun State.
It is also on record that the Human Rights lawyer called on the government to ensure that some pharmaceutical companies are exploiting people of the capital city by selling nose face masks for as higher as Twenty Thousand Naira.
Also among the activities was the feeding of people and distribution of food items in Sabo area of the capital city. This was done with the support of Chief Salaudeeen Saheed (Balogun Woro Oja Agbo).
The young Chief also made it a duty to make a follow up of the distribution at subsequent days after the commencement. However, Habeeb Ibidapo Whyte Foundation wrapped the event up with distribution of foodstuffs to widows, old women and orphans in the area.
The turnout of categories of people was massive and the foundation ended up putting smiles in the face of the people.
Speaking with our correspondent, Mr. Kunle Ajigbade, the Director of Programmes said the foundation is committed at helping the people and encouraging the needy. It is our responsibility to assist ourselves in critical periods like this.
We cannot leave everything to the government. We must also assist our government. It is our prayer that we get over the virus pandemic soon. Let us all stay home and stay safe.
We pray to do beyond these in times to come. As you can see, we gave an orphan scholarship which would cover her tuitions throughout her secondary school sessions. May God make it easy for us all.
