COVID-19: Governor Sani Bello of Niger state Goes into Self Isolation

The Niger State Governor, Sani Bello has gone into self Isolation as a result of the recent close contact he had with other persons confirmed positive of Coronavirus.

According to the statement released by the Chief Press Secretary, Mrs Mary Noel Berje, which revealed that the governor has already isolated himself and his family as they await to be tested.

The statement showed that the meetings which include,The Nigeria Governors Forum meeting, National Economic Council Meeting, World Bank Breakfast meeting and the APC National Meeting which took place on the 18th of March at Abuja had in attendance the president, other collegues of the governor along side the governor of Bauchi state.

The governor said that, “as a public figure and a leader who leads by example, i have gone into self isolation with members of my family waiting to be tested.”

He directed his council members and other personal aides to adopt similar tactic of self isolation and encourage others who must have had physical contact with them to immediately go on self isolation.

However, the statement implored Nigerlites to endure the curfew measure adopted by the governor to suppress the spread of the disease. It further directed them to adhere to strict personal hygiene in order to assist the government in the struggle to contain the virus in Minna, Niger state.
