COVID 19: Gov. Ishaku Lauds NYSC Taraba On Intervention

Taraba State Governor, Arch. Darius Dickson Ishaku has commended the efforts of Corps Members in the State in mitigating the spread of the novel COVID-19 disease in the state.

Gov. Ishaku stated this at the Government House in Jalingo during the presentation of Anti COVID-19 items which were produced by Corps Members.

The items include; hand sanitizers, liquid soap, face masks as well as buckets fitted with taps.

The Governor also lauded the Director-General of NYSC, Brig-Gen Shuaibu Ibrahim whose astute leadership, he said, has made the Scheme a reference point for community development initiatives in the state and the country at large.

He appealed to residents to adhere to the lockdown order and obey other necessary safety protocols in order to stem the spread of the deadly disease.

In his remarks, NYSC Taraba State Coordinator, Mr David Pwanidi Markson thanked the Governor for his commitment to the NYSC Scheme and pledged the continuous support of the NYSC to the development of the State.

Other dignitaries present at the occasion include the Deputy Governor, Engr Haruna Manu, the Speaker Taraba state House of Assembly, Rt Hon. Joseph A. Kunini, Commissioner for Health/Chairman, State Task Force on COVID-19, Dr Innocent Vakai, Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development/Chairman NYSC Taraba State Governing Board Hon. Ibrahim Adam Imam, among others.
