Covid-19: 27 Traders, 2 Drivers Arrested For Flouting Lockdown Directives In Ogun

Nothing less than 27 traders and two drivers have been arrested in the early hours of today in Abeokuta the Ogun State capital for violating government lockdown and social distancing directives to curb the spread of Corona virus pandemic that has put nations of the world in standstill.

It would be recalled that the Ogun State government ordered restriction of human and vehicular movements on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturday and Sunday. The state government also announced relaxed of such order on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays to allow residents restock foods and trade from the hours of 7am to 5pm.

The security operatives arrested the 27 traders and two traders for violating lockdown directives and they were charged to an Ogun State mobile court stationed under the Ibara – panseke Flyover bridge
