Court Sends Four Internet Fraudsters to Prison in Benin

Four internet fraudsters, Osamudiamen Efosa, John Ogbodo, Clinton Amanemiye and James Collins Oghenetega were on June 6, 2022, convicted and sentenced to prison by Justice Efe Ikponmwonba of Edo State High Court sitting in Benin City.

The quartet were separately arraigned by the Benin Zonal Command of the EFCC on one count charge of impersonation and obtaining by false pretence.

They were said to have impersonated foreign nationals with intent to defraud, an offence against the state.
