CORPS MEMBERS IMPART HOST COMMUNITIES, LEAVE FOOTPRINTS IN THE SANDS OF TIME

Corps members in Boluwaduro and Ila Local Government Area, Osun State have keyed into the move to better the lives of the people of the communities in the State.

The scheme in collaboration with her corps members have embarked on rural
health outreaches, sensitisations and enlightenment programmes, construction, adult literacy and education, among others.

These programmes have over the years increased the relevance of the scheme, enhancing its impart and broadening its horizon.

In view of this, corps members have taken it upon themselves not only to serve selflessly but also to leave a footprint in the various communities where they served.

As a way of giving back to the society and leaving a lasting legacy, corps member Igwe Sylvia Chinagorom with code number OS/18C/1380 serving at Otan Ayegbaju constructed a volleyball court at Anglican High School to revive sportsmanship and enhance the alround development of the students of the school.

Also, corps member Adunlewa Blessing Michael and Salman Shakir Alfabanni with code OS/18C/0818 and OS/18C/0810 respectively constructed an information board at Muslim Grammar School Otan Ayegbaju to aid dissemination of information in the school.

Equally, corps member Sunday Innocent with code number OS/18C/1179 serving at Itedo Middle School, Ila observed the
learning condition students were subjected to in the school and was moved with compassion to improve on this condition for better assimilation and learning by providing 48 tables with chairs for students of the school.

These projects have been described as timely and a proof of the love of corps members for their host communities and the nation at large.

This description was made by the Head of Community Development Service, Mr Kayode Ola-Peters who represented the State Coordinator, Mr Ayodele Adegoke at the commissioning of the various projects.

Kayode further called on the members not to renege in affecting the lives of people positively wherever they find themselves in life.

The beneficiaries of the projects described the project executors as dedicated and selfless patriots whose love for the students prompted them to embark on such laudable projects.

The Principals of the schools assured the members of their commitment to the maintenance of the legacy left by them
promising to build upon it and use it as intended by the project executors.

Aside personal projects, community development groups also embarked on group projects such as the revamping of the National Emergency Management Agency CDS sign post at Otan Ayegbaju which was erected to enlighten the public on disaster prevention and management.
