Corp Members Showcase Ogun Dress Culture at Adire Fashion Show

In a bid to revive the dying culture and tradition of Africa and Nigeria society, the 2022 Batch C Stream two Corps Members deployed to Ogun have showcased different styles and designs of the dress culture of the Ogun State people at an Adire Fashion Show which held at the Multipurpose Hall of the Sagamu Orientation Camp..

The Corps Members ignited the hall with different artistic designs of the Kampala Adire which is part of the dress culture of the Yoruba race, popular among the people of Egba in Ogun state.

The 10 Platoons representatives wore various Adire clothing sown in unique styles to showcase the beauty and aesthetic of the Yoruba Yoruba dress culture..

At the end of the competition, Platoon 9 came first, while platoon 7 and 2 came second and third respectively.

As part of the competition, the contestants gave brief history of how the Adire Kampala originated, what inspired the outfit and occasions where the outfit can be worn to.
