The Chairman of Ifedara Opeji Area CDC, Odeda, Ogun State, Alhaji (Asiwaju) Dapo Wahab, JP has urged Christian faithful to exhibit the spirit of peace, love and forgiveness, all through the Christmas celebration and beyond.

Asiwaju Dapo Wahab said this in his Christmas message, signed by his Director of Information and Publicity, Adejola Adeyemi Crown, noting that these were the values that Jusus Christ preached and exhibited all through his sojourn on earth.

According to him, “as we mark the Christmas, all true Christians must remember the reason for the season as well as the person, whose birth we are celebrating, who is Jesus Christ.

“Jesus Christ went about preaching peace, love and need for us to forgive those who trespass against us. If this is not evident in our lives, as we mark the Christmas and thereafter, then, we have only embarked on a jamboree.

He therefore enjoined Christians to pledge to continue to live in peace, renew their love for the nation as well as for one another, and also imbibe the spirit of forgiveness, which, he noted, is a vital prerequisite for the acceptance of the sacrifices of Christmas.

He urged Christians and Community dwellers to celebrate the yuletide season in moderation and observe strict compliance to all government precautionary measures to curb the spread of Covid-19.

Asiwaju Dapo Wahab wished Christians a merry Christmas celebrations and a happy prosperous 2021.
