Children’s Day 2020: 15 year-old Daniella Kolade reads Ogun State Governor’s Speech

The Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun has assured the Children of the State of better years ahead.

In a speech read by 15 year old Daniella Kolade, the Governor said his administration will prioritise their rights to good life and quality education.

The Governor’s wife, Bamidele Abiodun who hosted the event, joined the children on zoom app, becoming the only State Firstlady to host virtual children’s day event this year.

Addressing the over 100 participants, Mrs Abiodun advised children to uphold moral and ethical principles and embrace personal hygiene.

The Governor’s Spouse urged them to see the pandemic as a way to study harder, and learn through technology in order to excel.

The Governor’s wife assured the children that as soon as the covid19 pandemic is curtailed and contained, she would celebrate with them in grandstyle.

Mrs. Abiodun promised gifts to all the children, especially those who participated in different activities such as quiz, discussion, musical presentation, talent show and games.

The Special adviser to the Ogun State Governor on Primary, Secondary and Technical Education, Mrs. Ronke Soyombo who joined alongside the Permanent Secretary in the ministry, Mrs Bosede Ogunleye, affirmed the commitment of the Prince Dapo Abiodun led administration to qualitative education.

Also online were the Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, Hon. Funmilayo Efuwape, Special Adviser/MD of OPIC, Arch. Fari Arole, Communication Specialist with UNICEF in Abuja, Mr. Geoffrey Njoku, Hon. Adijat Oladapo-Adeleye and Mrs Omolola Osota who represented Spouses of Ogun State Government functionaries among others.

The event, created by Integrity Campaign Club and supported by Mobile Classroom App, was moderated by an On-Air Personality and Convener of the Group, Mr Dare Adedotun.

The event also attracted Ogun State indigenes in Cape Verde Island, Brazil and UAE, UK who linked up with over one hundred children from the 20 local governments of the State.
