**Contractor to move to site this week

The Ogun State Government wishes to plead with road users in the Brewery-Olomore Road axis of Abeokuta, the State Capital, while it begins to fix the bad road permanently this week.

The State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun has given approval to the full construction of drainage to properly channel stormwater and the resurfacing of all the failed portions.

The heavy rains which have recently fallen in the State Capital have put portions of the busy Federal Road in a condition regularly causing traffic gridlock.

Roadworks in these areas have been unfortunately delayed due to unfavorable weather conditions.

A permanent solution will however soon be put to these portions, especially around the Olomore and Brewery roundabouts, as the contractor-in-charge is making appropriate preparations to move to site this current week.

Residents are therefore urged to remain calm and bear with the State Government, while engineers carry out the roadworks in the shortest possible time, even as the rains continue.
