Breaking- Obaseki declared winner of Edo election

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared Governor Godwin Obaseki of PDP winner of Saturday’s Governorship Election in Edo.

Announcing the results, the electoral commission said Mr. Godwin Obaseki scored; 307,955 while his close opponent Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu had 223,619. Gov. Obaseki led with over 80,000 votes.

With the declaration, Governor Obaseki is to run for a 2nd term of 4 years in office.
