The Federal Government of Nigeria have commenced the payment of 33, 000 naira, the amount approved as Corps Members’ monthly allowance by the Federal Government in line with the new National Minimum Wage.
The news of the payment of the new allowance as received by our correspondent from a corps member serving in Ogun State said she received the payment in the early hours of Friday 31st January, 2020.

It was earlier reported that The Director-General, Brigadier General Shuaibu Ibrahim on Wednesday 29th January, 2020 cleared the air on the amount approved as Corps Members’ monthly allowance by the Federal Government in line with the new National Minimum Wage while speaking to Corps Members at the NYSC Bauchi State Secretariat during his working visit to the State.
He also said provision had been made for the new allowance in the year 2020 Budget, adding that payment would commence as soon as funds are released by the appropriate authorities.
