Justice Abimbola Awogboro of the Federal High Court in Lagos has directed that Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky, be kept in the custody of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) until April 9. This decision follows a suit of four charges brought against him.
While granting the prosecution’s request, the court dismissed the two last counts (5 & 6), and Bobrisky was arraigned on counts one to four, which pertain to the abuse of the Nigerian currency.
Bobrisky, in a plea for leniency, asked for a second chance and promised to use his social media platforms to raise awareness about the dangers of abusing the Nigerian currency.
After hearing both sides, Justice Awogboro adjourned the judgement to April 9, 2024, ordering Bobrisky to remain in EFCC custody until then.
