It was a beehive of activities at the Bikers Converge Indigenous and Brands Award season two.

The epoch making event which was held on Saturday 14th December, 2019 at the serene environment of Conference Hotel, Abeokuta, Ogun State.

While welcoming special guests and dignitaries to the event, Mr. Adeola Ogundimu popularly known as Big Dee stated that the indigenous awards was carved out of the annual Abeokuta Bikers Converge at the 5th edition of the event that brought in an appreciable numbers of Bikers from the 36 states of Nigeria and from other parts of the West African countries.

Mr Ogundimu reiterated that the Indigenous Awards was set up to recognize brands, goods and services either owned by indigenes of Ogun State or situated in Ogun State.

“We have seen in the past where people make their riches and fortunes from our dear country and take such to developed countries like Europe, Asia, America or even to United Arab Emirates to invest which deprives our citizens of employment”, he said.

He observed that despite the aforementioned challenges causing high rate of unemployment, some companies still do all they could do to establish their companies in Nigeria so as to grow up the economy and creating Job opportunities for our youths and young graduates.

He therefore enjoined Nigerians to see reasons to grow the nation’s economy by investing and establishing their companies in Nigeria and urged Nigerians to appreciate our made in Nigeria goods and Brands unlike the appreciable gestures given to imported goods and brands.

The climax of the Indigenous Brand Awards was the presentation of Award to His Excellency, Otunba Gbenga Justus Daniel as 2019 Biggest Employer of Labour in Ogun State through his newly commissioned Conference Hotel, Abeokuta and the award was presented to him by Dr. Lucky Aikabeli of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Abeokuta.

The event also awarded Engr. (Chief) Emmanuel Olabode Shekoni, The CEO of Shekobod Nig. Limited as Indigenous Company of the year.

Other awardees include; Fatgbems Petroleum Limited, Western Quarry Limited, Royal Butler, Metroeyes Clinic, and Wokcity Restaurants.

Awards of recognitions was also given to Mr. Clement Oladele, Ogun State Sector Commander of Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Bola Solate of Public Faces Magazine and Adejola Adeyemi Crown of Tropic Reporters.

Some important dignitaries and guests present at the event include; Hon. Kehinde Soaga, Mr. Afeez Oyetoro (Saka), members of ABEOKUTA BIKERS and representatives of OGUN STATE FRSC SPECIAL MARSHALS among others.

The guests and dignitaries were also thrilled to rib cracking jokes and comedy by Koye Comedian alongside an evergreen songs from the stable of Evangelist Ebenezer Obey – Fabiyi.
