AWARD – WINNING AUTHOR, CHRIS OMOTOSHO TO LAUNCH NEW BOOK IN OGUN

A theatre Arts Lecturer at the Federal College of Education (FCE), Osiele, Abeokuta, Ogun State, Dr Chris Omotosho is set to launch his new book titled “Water in the Basket” on Thursday 24th October, 2019 at Simeon Adebo Library, Kuto, Abeokuta, Ogun State. 

This was contained in a statement issued by Ebika Anthony, Festival Director and obtained by Tropic Reporters Correspondent in Abeokuta today Friday 4th October, 2019. 

The statement read in parts, “from the valley of rest, the poetic sun of Chris Omotosho Poetry Festival (COPOFEST) will rise on October 24, 2019.” 

“The sun of COPOFEST will shine and give poetic warmth to the event hall of Simeon Adebo Library, Abeokuta, as Poetry Enclave (POEN), Ibadan, in collaboration with Ogun State ANA, features poetry, music, dance and speeches.”

The statement added that,” In honour of Dr. Chris Omotosho, a poet, teacher, social commentator and gentleman to the core, COPOFEST 2019 is going to be a talk-of-the-town festival that will usher in a season of luscious poetry.”

It was noted that “POETRY AND LIFE”, will be the theme of the Festival, as the sky promises a beautiful, bright day from 10am when the festival will begin to 4pm when it will be terminated.”

Poets and lovers of poetry are hereby cordially invited to take part or witness COPOFEST 2019.
