Borno Governor, Babagana Umara Zulum Thursday morning visited auno town where Boko Haram insurgents attacked on Wednesday.

Zulum who arrived Auno around 7:30am sympathised with the victims of the attack, most of whom have lost their livelihood during the attack. He also directed for the reopening of their Secondary school.

Governor Zulum while addressing residents stated that there are plans to expand the town with improved infrastructure.

Located along Maiduguri-Damaturu highway, Auno had come under attack on Wednesday 4:36 pm, resulting in the destruction of a shopping complex and many other open market stalls.

According to a resident who witnessed the attack, the insurgents came with six hilux vehicles to attack the twon.
