The Ogun State Director of the National Orientation Agency (NOA), Kolawole Obadina, has applauded the impactful endeavors of the Asiwaju Dapo Wahab Foundation during a recent visit by its leadership to the NOA office at Oke Mosan, in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital.
Led by the President, Asiwaju Dapo Wahab, the foundation’s team received commendation for their dedication to societal well-being, passion, and impactful initiatives.
The NOA Director, Mr. Kolawole Obadina acknowledged the foundation’s crusade for public education, particularly in addressing the prevalent issues of social vices and drug abuse among youths.
Expressing the vital need for support, Director Obadina urged other corporate entities and individuals to join hands with both the foundation and NOA in fulfilling their responsibilities to society.
He extended NOA’s hand of fellowship to the foundation, expressing readiness for a collaborative partnership in public orientation and awareness.
In response, Asiwaju Dapo Wahab emphasized the foundation’s role in societal development and lauded NOA’s leadership for their efforts in public orientation.
Notably, he announced Mr. Kolawole Obadina as the Senior Special Adviser on Ethical Issues to the foundation and disclosed plans for the foundation’s involvement in the director’s retirement plans.
Identifying NOA as a crucial partner, Asiwaju emphasized the joint commitment to addressing societal issues, including gender-based violence and drug abuse.
He stressed the significance of attitudinal change for a better society and future, emphasizing the role of a strong family unit in societal transformation.
Director Obadina, despite approaching retirement, reassured continued dedication to collaborative efforts with the foundation, particularly in the realm of drug abuse awareness.
He appreciated the foundation for its media programs and radio sponsorships, which contribute significantly to public awareness and orientation.
As a gesture of shared commitment, Asiwaju Dapo Wahab Foundation, in collaboration with the Foundation for a Drug-Free World International, presented leaflets on “THE TRUTH ABOUT DRUGS” to the NOA for public use, orientation, and awareness.
The foundation’s delegation included Alhaja (Mrs) Bolanle Dapo-Wahab, Mrs. Elizabeth Eweje (Coordinator, Women Wing), Miss. Olamide Dapo-Wahab (Student Affairs), and Adejola Adeyemi Crown (Director of Media and Publicity).
Accompanying the State Director were Mrs. Toyin Ogundimu and Mr. Sunday Alabi.
This visit marks a significant step towards enhanced collaboration for positive societal impact.
