As part of efforts to reduce the negative impacts of illicit drugs on the individual, family and the society in general, the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA in partnership with Asiwaju Dapo Wahab Foundation, a non-profit making organization on Wednesday at Ijebu Ode in Ogun State empowered and rehabilitated one Raji Tajudeen with a barbing shop and simple machines.
It would be recalled that Mr. Tajudeen Raji was caught smoking cannabis sativa and was subsequently transferred to NDLEA office for rehabilitation.
Mrs Ekwu Eucharia, an Assistant Commander of Narcotics – NDLEA who represented the State Commander at the commissioning in her address urged Mr. Raji Tajudeen to yield to all the counsellings given to him while he was at the agency’s rehabilitation facility so as to justify the support received from Asiwaju Dapo Wahab Foundation.
She noted further that the agency would continue to monitor him and equally advised family members to rally round him for close monitoring and appreciated ADW Foundation for the good gestures.
The Founder and President of Asiwaju Dapo Wahab Foundation, Alhaji (Asiwaju) Dapo Wahab while giving his good will messages encouraged Raji Tajudeen to yield to all counselling which have been given to him so as to be a better person in the future.
He stressed further that Adwfoundation would continue to shower upon him good gestures and that quarterly evaluation would be conducted on him by the foundation to see the impact of the NDLEA and ADWFoundation’s efforts on him.
The Foundation’s President also added that the foundation cherished her partnership with NDLEA Ogun state command in creating a robust awareness on Drugs Demand Reduction Targeted at youths. Promised that the foundation would continue to enjoy the collaborative partnership with NDLEA.
Thereafter, the President of ADWFoundation commissioned the shop with support of NDLEA Official by handing to Raji Tajudeen all the necessary tools and cash donation for the purchase of fuel.
