Asiwaju Dapo Wahab Foundation under the able leadership of Alhaji (Asiwaju) Dapo Wahab has donated packs of exercise books to students in Ogun State Community.
The donation of educationa material was done at the end of the year party held last Saturday organised by Abusi Edumare CDA, Bode – Olude in Odeda LG area of Ogun State.
While commending the Education Support Initiative of the Community Development Association, Asiwaju Dapo Wahab urged for more support to ensure qualitative and quantitative education among the children to reduce number of out of school children.
Asiwaju Dapo Wahab however commended the project as laudable and charged the parents of the need to curb the excesses of their children from all activities capable of truncating their brighter futures.
He said, “I am using this opportunity to urge parents to always monitor the activities of their children such as immoral activities, peer influence and other behaviors capable of truncating their brighter futures”.
“I want all dwellers to be security conscious as the country is currently facing lot of insecurity challenges, he concluded.
On his part, the Chairman of Bode – Olude CDC, Engr. Kunle Lambo changed the Community members of the need to be in unity and peaceful coexistence to aid further development of the community.
While delivering his remarks, the Chairman of the occasion, Mr. Akinola Sunkanmi commended the role played by the organising committees, supporters and sponsors for the successful hosting the the project.
He however urged everyone present of the need to sustain the newly launched Education Support Initiative to help develop hidden potentials among the children.
The event also witnessed presentation of gifts and cash to six (6) outstanding performers (three Junior secondary and three Senior secondary students) from the Education Support Initiative examination conducted by the Community.
