In a ceremony at the Nigerian Army Headquarters in Abuja, Governor Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo received the students and expressed his gratitude to the security forces for their efforts in rescuing them.

He also reaffirmed the state government’s support for the ongoing operations against terrorism and criminality.

Major General Abdulsalam Ibrahim, representing the Chief of Army Staff, assured the governor that the troops are working tirelessly to track down the kidnappers and bring them to justice.

The students were kidnapped on May 9, and some were rescued in batches, with sadly two confirmed dead by the Kogi State Police Commissioner last week.
