The Ogun state chapter of the All Progressives Congress’s Youth Wing under the leadership of Comr. Aroboto Rasheed has applauded the indefatigable effort of the state Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun Mfr, in the fight against the ravaging virus bent on excavating humanity into oblivion.
The group after constructively analysing the unrelenting effort made by P D A’s administration to contain and stop the spread of the virus, has without prejudice sent out their commendation message to the governor and other warlords at the forefront of the battle against the pandemic.
Making list of obvious feat recorded during this pandemic era by the current administration; the construction of Isolation centres across the state, Availability of the mobile laboratories for quick response, Provision of relief package in batches to the vulnerable as stimulus, daily basis awareness campaign through the traditional, new media and below-the-line media, Provision of free face masks and hand sanitizers to the people of the state, Cash dispensation to the people through selected political appointees, and more which space won’t permit their highlighting.
Moreso, the rapid response of the state health care service to confirmed cases of the virus carriers, contact tracing and self isolation advises has drastically reduced its morbidity in the state. These and more are reasons for this deservedly appreciation.
In a note sent out by the leader of the group who also doubles as the vice chairman of Dapo Abiodun Likeminds, Comr. Rasheed Aroboto, he implored every youth and citizens of Ogun state to complement the efforts of the state government in the fight against the pandemic by adhering strictly to all precautionary directives and observing high health hygiene to prevent the spread of the virus.
He reechoed that, “we cannot but appreciate the unrelenting effort of the state government in this trying time. This has really shown to us that we’ve voted right and installed a working and responsive government. I am certain that with the look of things and the active approach undertaken by our governor in tackling the pandemic, we shall get over this nightmare soon”.
He reiterated that, the government in his bid to win the war against the ravaging pandemic needs the cooperation of the citizens who maintained a larger capacity of the state. The earlier they support the fight, the faster the win.
The extension of the lockdown by a week in Ogun state has not only shown the sensitivity of our governor in combating the pandemic but has also clearly visualize his hope of seeing a virus free Ogun state
