The All Progressives Congress (APC) has shifted by two weeks its state congresses scheduled for 2 October.
The congresses will now hold nationwide on 16 October. An official statement is still being awaited.
It was learnt that the postponement was after consultation with President Buhari by the Mai Mala Buni caretaker and convention committee.
The party had held ward and local government congresses between July 31 and September 4.
The state congresses will prepare the ground for the party’s zonal congresses and the national convention, where a new crop of national leaders will be elected.
