Manchester City striker, Sergio Aguero, has expressed the desire to return to his childhood club, Independiente after his contract at Etihad expires.
The 30-year-old left Independiente as a youngster in 2006 to join La Liga giants, Atletico Madrid, before joining Man City five years later.
“I always try [to get back to Argentina],” Aguero was quoted by Mirror UK as saying.
“I know what the fans [of Independiente] want, but I have a contract with City and I try to focus on these two years I’ve got left.
“Then I’ll see what I’ll do but of course, the Rojo [Independiente] is my priority.”
Aguero’s current deal at Man City will expire at the end of the 2021 campaign.
The Argentine international has won four Premier League titles with the Citizens.
