…hints on new media company.
A Seasoned Broadcast Journalist, Tobiloba Daniel Joseph has bowed out of Rockcity 101.9fm, Abeokuta, Ogun State after 12 years of diligence, hard-work, sacrifice and service to BOOT COMMUNICATIONS LTD.
Tobiloba made this known today according to a statement published on his official Facebook page and obtained by Tropic Reporters correspondent.
He said, “just like yesterday, my journey in the world of Broadcast Journalism began with ROCKCITY 101.9FM, Abeokuta. I remember that fateful day in 2010 when I walked into the organisation’s premises and I was offered a job as a freelancer immediately (I was to resume work the following day)”.
“I joined the DAYBREAK SHOW crew headed by Mr Olayemi Bayo who at the time was an experienced and loaded Broadcast Journalist handling the flagship program of the station. He took me under his wings and helped nurture the crude and unrefined talent and gift God gave me. I will forever be grateful to him and the Executive Director of BOOT COMMUNICATIONS LTD Mrs Bukola Malaolu who saw something in me and said “Rockcity needs someone like you and we believe you can help out with one of our shows”.
“I met many brilliant and talented staff in the organisation, many left, many came and left and many will still come and leave. Such is life. I will forever cherish the memories we shared. I have to sincerely appreciate my wonderful sister Ify Onyegbule for her friendship and professionalism. I definitely learnt a lot from her and I’m sure she learnt from me too. I want to specially appreciate the man who is a true father and teacher, Mr Tokunbo Oloruntola, the Director of News and Current Affairs. That’s the man who taught me a whole lot and to whom I’ll forever be indebted. May he reap the fruits of his labour and may he recieve his flowers while he is still here. I also want to appreciate my sister Shirley Oaikhenan for being a true friend, sister and colleague. God bless you”.

I am no stranger to these decisions and I took one few days ago as I resigned my appointment as Head of Presentation, Programs of ROCKCITY 101.9 FM after 12 YEARS of diligence, hardwork, sacrifice and service.”.
“IT IS TIME TO MOVE ON from the old to the new, from good to better and from the past to the future. I have no regrets helping to build another man’s dream, it is just time to build my own dreams.
