Fuel scarcity is gradually biting hard in Ogbomoso metropolis with the resurfacing of long queues in filling stations.
According to our correspondent, who went round the town, many petrol stations within the metropolis have remained closed because they had no supply of premium motor spirit (PMS).
In a few other stations where it was available, motorists and motorcyclists had to wait in long queues and spend hours to get PMS, as a litre of petrol sold between ₦180 and ₦200.
Two motorcyclists, Ayodeji Yusuf and Banjo Ajao appealed to the Federal Government and other relevant stakeholders in the petroleum industry to come to the aid of common Nigerians who depend on the use of petrol for their daily bread.
Speaking on the condition of anonymity, two petrol attendants said they were selling at the new price following directives from their respective managers.
Areas visited by our correspondent include Taki, Caretaker, Oke-Owode, General, LAUTECH area and Gambari.
It was also gathered that the cost of transportation has been affected.
