The NYSC Osun State Coordinator, Mr Ayodele Adegoke has solicited the support of the Chairman Boripe Local Government,

Hon. Rev. Oyeyiola Adebayo for Corps members serving in the local government who, as a norm during the service year, engage in individual or group Community Development projects geared towards addressing pressing needs in the community.

Adegoke, who made the plea during a courtesy visit to the Chairman’s office in Boripe local government on Monday 5th August, 2019, commended the Chairman for his efforts so far in ensuring the welfare of corps members deployed to the local government, such as provision of corps lodges and prompt payment of monthly allowance to corps members serving in the local government secretariat.

He further called for the resuscitation of the local government committee as spelt out in the NYSC Act, which according to him will enhance corps members welfare and security in the local government.

The Hon. Chairman in his response assured the state coordinator of his unwavering support, promising to render financial assistance within his capability to corps members who will engage in community development service in the community.

he further stated that the local government is proud of the corps members deployed to his community as they have conducted themselves in an appropriate manner by being good ambassadors of NYSC.

Later, the same day, the state coordinator, while addressing corps members in Boripe local government, charged them to be dutiful at their places of primary assignments adding that the management of NYSC has its searchlights beamed on every local government in the State. He urged them not to play truancy, but to ensure they impact their host communities positively during the service year.

He admonished them further to execute projects that will address the felt needs of the community adding that the Chairman of the local government has pledged to assist corps members in this regard.
