ACG ZONE ‘A’ REINFORCED ZERO TOLERANCE TO TRAFFICKING.

The Assistant Controller General of Corrections (ACG), in charge of Zone ‘A’ which comprise of Lagos and Ogun State Command, Tosin Akinrujomu has reiterated his commitment and readiness to work with all officers in charge of Custodial Centers in Ogun State Command to put an end to trafficking in illicit items into the centers.

ACG Akinrujomu gave this assurance on Wednesday 23rd and Thursday 24th September 2020 while on familiarisation/inspection tour of the custodial centers in Ogun Command.

The Zonal Coordinator further emphasised the need for officers and men to be diligent in their duties and make the rules in the new Nigerian Correctional Service Act 2019, as their watchword.

In his response, the Controller of Corrections Ogun State Command, CC Mojeed Olaniran expressed the gratitude of the Command to the ACG for visiting the Command. He reaffirmed the full loyalty and support of the staff of Ogun State Command to the ACG.

Custodial centers visited are:
Old Abeokuta Custodial Centre Ibara,
New Abeokuta Custodial Centre, Oba,
Ijebu Ode Custodial Centre,
Ilaro and Sagamu Custodial Centre.
