Abuja, Nigeria – Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, CEO of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM), has voiced her enthusiasm for the upcoming launch of the Pelican Ecostay Apartments project, slated for September 11, 2024. During a business presentation in Abuja, she expressed confidence in the project’s potential to attract Nigerians living abroad as reliable investment opportunities.
Situated within the Pelican Brief Estate, an emerging Smart City in Ogun State’s Kobape-Masa corridor, the Pelican Ecostay Apartments project offers a modern living experience just a short drive from Ikeja, the capital of Lagos. Recent investments, including the installation of Industrial Solar Street Lights costing approximately N20 million, demonstrate Pelican Valley Nigeria Limited’s commitment to providing essential infrastructure and promoting eco-friendly living in the area.
In addition to benefiting residents of the Pelican Brief Estate, the project extends its impact to over 10 neighboring communities, enhancing safety and sustainability through the provision of industrial Solar lights.
Dr. Babatunde Adeyemo, CEO of Pelican Valley Nigeria Limited, shared details of the project’s progress with Abike Dabiri, inviting her to the commissioning ceremony scheduled for September 11, 2024. Notable dignitaries, including Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, and former governor Aremo Olusegun Osoba, are expected to attend the event.
With a flexible installment payment plan available until September 2025, Pelican Valley aims to make homeownership accessible to a wide range of subscribers. Adeyemo reassured Abike Dabiri that the project would be completed and ready for possession by September 2023, emphasizing Pelican Valley’s commitment to transparency and affordability with no hidden charges or interest on payment plans.
Excited about the project’s potential, Abike Dabiri expressed her willingness to collaborate with Pelican Valley to ensure its success. She commended Adeyemo’s integrity and dedication to advancing the real estate sector, noting his contribution to job creation and government efforts to address Nigeria’s housing deficit.
“Well done Mr Adeyemo, this is Pelican Valley in Ogun State. I’m sure Nigerians in the diasporas will be interested in the projects. So, you will give us further details about it. We wish you great success.
“It is nice to see young Nigerian entrepreneurs doing great things, doing businesses and working very hard. We are supposed to be good with our brothers and sisters in the diasporas and everywhere around the world. Hopefully, I should be able to buy one.
“I have watched him for a long time now and I think I’m particularly interested in what he’s doing. He’s not the type of developer who will collect people’s money and run away,” she said.
The Daily Crucible reports that same Abike Dabiri – Erewa had in December 2023 while addressing the Nigerians in the UK during the Avenue Impact Business Networking and Winter Ball at the Crown Plaza Hotel, London, called on Nigerians in the UK, United States and other parts of Europe to join hands with their fellow compatriots at home to build Nigeria to greater heights.
At that occasion which had Adeyemo in attendance as a keynote speaker, Dabiri – Erewa also solicited Nigerians’ support for one another to keep Nigeria aloft for honours, while Adeyemo harped on the need for the diasporas not to wait until they’ve attained the retirement age before making plans to japada, or establish investment ties back home with their fatherland.
