Rt. Hon. Chinedum Orji, the Speaker of the Abia State House of Assembly, has stated that the current seventh house will not hesitate to weigh its sledge hammer against any agencies, boards and persons disobeying the resolutions of the house.
The Speaker, who made this known during the plenary session of the Assembly and monitored by our correspondent, warned that the present leadership will deal decisively with any officials of the Abia Government engaging in any shady acts, as well as disrespecting the house resolutions and summons.
Orji, who was reelected on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the last 2019 general elections, is currently representing Umuahia Central State Constituency warned, “This House will not hesitate to remove that clog, no matter who is involved.
“I do not see the reason the salaries of Abia State workers will be prepared in another state and brought here for payment.
“Any resolution of this House must be respected.”
