It was a reavelling moment when our team cut up the ogun state born famous on air personality , Content producer and Media practionare Abass Adefulu popularly called Artunbi.

Starting with the rumour that the broadcaster is dropping all his radio programmes to join the acting industry as speculated by people he cleared the air that he is dropping all his radio programmes with different concepts in different radio stations so as to join the new radio station in the state, Splash fm where he can put all his concepts together into one…

Abass Adefulu who explained that many of his fans will enjoy him better on Splash FM because of the wider reach coupled with the quality of the broadcasting services the communication outfit has been known for over the years in ibadan remains the same and would even be stepped up in Ogun state.

“I felt with the invitation of splash fm, if I could put all these programmes together in one radio station that will project me better and would make my fans and audience enjoy my contents more,
I have been to thier station in Ibadan and I think i love their brand so I decided to join the team.

When asked when he joined broadcasting, the seasoned broadcaster noted, “I started radio broadcasting very early since when i was in school ,my debut on air was 2005 but my very first time on radio as an independent broadcaster was on 6th of November 2006 with the programme Ko ma roll on OGBC AM and later anchored E Ku Iya Leta and Isaga o ku mase for all isaga indigines all over the world all on the AM frequency.

“After that, I proceeded to OGBC FM , Paramount fm, faaji fm,Raypower Ibadan, Radio Lagos, choice fm, Rootfm, Smash fm and many other radio stations which are many to mentioned in Southwest.”

The OAP stated that despite he was a communiation graduate from Moshood Abiola polytechnic and has been practising for few years but his career and life styles took a new positive and unprecedented turn around when he met Yemi Sonde the broadcast sage who mentored and tutored him professionally.
“I will forever be greatfull to my Boss Yemi Sonde ,he taught me everything about broadcasting and made me a professional broadcaster ”
When asked to compare broadcasting when he started and now “nowadays broadcasting is quite different from the what I met expectially with the advert of the new Media which is the social media.

He added, “when I started my broadcasting career, radio stations in Abeokuta are just two,OGBC AM and OGBC FM, and later paramount FM came on board.

“But now, the radio stations have greatly increased, there is proliferation which has led to opportunities for so many untrained voices to find their way on air,

So many of our content providers are now half baked and as a practioner this gives me lots of concern,
Only good voice doesn’t make one a broadcaster you need to be trained academically and professionally” I know the NBC as a regulatory body is doing the needful but I will implore that they still do more to sanitize our air to give room for more quality content.

When asked what’s his plan for the future in broadcasting he smiled “Only God knows the future but my plan is to have made a mark and lay legacies for generations after me would be greatfull for.
