Rtd Gen. Joe Komolafe enlightened the 2019 batch C stream II corps members on security measures they should take during their service year in Osun state.

In his lecture at the multipurpose hall of the Permanent Orientation Camp, Ede on Wednesday, he highlighted some sources of insecurity which includes: insurgency, cyber crimes, kidnapping, political thuggery, negative acculturation, among others.

He went further to state that ”it is only you that can save yourself”. He therefore, advised corps members to always be conscious of their environment and report any issue that seems unpleasant to them to security agencies in their host communities.

However, he advised corps members on building a good relationship with their neighbours so as to be able to beckon on them for assistance when the need arises. He also advised the corps members against incessant travelling and frequent disclosure of their location to the public for security reasons.

He also urged them to stay off cultism and shun drug abuse as it is not good to portray illegal conduct as corps members called to serve their father’s land.
