TAIDOB COLLEGE WINS 2019 NATIONAL COMPANY OF THE YEAR COMPETITION

The Junior Achievement Nigeria (JAN) has announced “TC Company of the year competition Achievers” of Taidob College Asero Estate Abeokuta as the winner of its 2019 National Company of the year Competition, for coming up with Gas Leakage Detector.

In an interview with Tropic Reporters Correspondent, JAN’s Director of Marketing and Innovation, Mrs Oduolayinka Osunloye says TC Achievers of Taidob College emerged 1st Ogun State and at the national levels.

The participating schools according to Osunloye presented different innovations including a “School App” by John and Janet School Lagos and School Career guide by

Rhemaville Christan Academy, Jos which came 2nd and 3rd respectively.

She added that TC Achievers clinched the 1st position for designing a domestic and industrial gas leakage detector – a device which raises an alarm and sends SMS to the owner’s mobile phone.

Members of the company led by Miss Evans Adeluka and Master Clement Julius while featuring on ChannelsTV Sunrise Weekend programme in Lagos, appreciated the organisers and Taidob College management for the opportunity to explore and break new frontiers. They added that the innovation was meant to put an end to gas explosions-related accidents or deaths in Nigeria.

A giant trophy and plaque were presented to the Taidob College Achievers alongside tickets to represent Nigeria in Ghana later in the year.
