The Petroleum Products Retail Outlet Owners Association of Nigeria (PETROAN) has announced that petrol from the Port Harcourt refinery will retail at N1,030 per litre, based on information received from the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL).

In a statement issued Thursday night, PETROAN’s spokesperson, Joseph Obele, confirmed the pricing update.

“NNPC Retail Ltd has officially announced the PMS price at the Port Harcourt refinery as N1,030 per litre,” Obele disclosed.

He further stated that the product request portal is now operational, allowing marketers to place orders.

“It was also communicated to PETROAN that the product request portal was open for booking/request,” he added.

Obele noted that PETROAN’s strategic pricing team is currently reviewing the best pricing framework for its members while emphasizing the association’s willingness to support all refineries within Nigeria.

“We are open to patronizing all the refineries in Nigeria,” he remarked.

The association, however, appealed to the NNPCL to consider a price reduction to ease the financial burden on Nigerians, especially as the festive season approaches.

“We urge the NNPCL to lower the petrol price to ensure a more cheerful Yuletide celebration for Nigerians,” Obele stated.

It is worth recalling that the Port Harcourt Refinery recently resumed operations, with petroleum product truck-outs commencing on the same day.
