Barring any unforeseen changes, the burial of the late Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lt. General Taoreed Lagbaja, has been scheduled for Friday in Abuja.

His elder brother, Moshood Lagbaja, revealed the plans in Osogbo, Osun State, during a condolence visit from the St Charles Grammar School Osogbo Old Boys Association (SCOBA).

During the visit, the SCOBA delegation presented a condolence letter to the Lagbaja family. The letter, signed by the association’s Global President, Tade Adekunle, and General Secretary, Leye Odetoyinbo, expressed deep sympathy and respect for the late general’s legacy.

Speaking for SCOBA, the leader of the delegation, Engineer Adesina Salami, who also serves as the association’s 1st Vice President, praised Lt. Gen. Lagbaja as a “remarkable individual, a proud Charlean, and a distinguished military leader who served the nation with unwavering dedication.”

Salami further stated, “We mourn the loss of an exceptional individual… Lt. Gen. Lagbaja’s remarkable life, selfless service, and enduring legacy inspire us.”

SCOBA’s message conveyed heartfelt prayers, asking for divine comfort and peace for the Lagbaja family during their time of grief, while acknowledging the general’s legacy as a beacon for future generations.
