The Ogun State Government has officially announced the passing of Hon. Tajudeen Egunjobi, the Special Adviser to Governor Dapo Abiodun on Housing. Hon. Egunjobi, who was a key figure in the administration, reportedly passed away on Tuesday after a brief illness.

Governor Abiodun expressed his deep sorrow and described the death of his Special Adviser as a painful and unexpected loss.

Speaking during a condolence visit to the family home in Oke-Lantoro, Abeokuta, the governor noted that Egunjobi’s passing came as a “rude shock,” and he mourned the loss of a dedicated and reliable team member.

“His death is truly painful,” Governor Abiodun said. “He was a very humble, hardworking, conscientious, dependable, and reliable special adviser to this government. He was very loyal and, besides being an architect, he was a consummate politician and a former member of the Ogun State House of Assembly.”

Governor Abiodun further emphasized that he appointed Egunjobi as Special Adviser on Housing because of the ambitious housing plans the state had at the time.

He commended the late adviser for his diligence and dedication in ensuring the success of housing initiatives under the current administration.

“The success story of my administration in the housing sector cannot be written without mentioning the huge contributions of the late special adviser,” he added.

In his tribute, the Commissioner for Housing, Hon. Jagunmolu Jamiu Omoniyi, described Hon. Egunjobi as a dutiful and loyal politician whose work had a significant impact on the state’s housing sector. He said, “Abeokuta South Local Government and the state have lost an enigma.”

Noah Tajudeen, a family representative, expressed gratitude to the state government for its support during this difficult time and wished Governor Abiodun success in his future endeavors.
