Woman Dies After Scuffle with Ex-Husband in Ogun

A 37-year-old man, Muftau Adefalu, has been arrested and detained by the Ogun State Police Command for allegedly killing his ex-wife, Yetunde Olayiwole, in Sango-Ota, Ogun State.

The incident occurred around 8 pm on Friday, November 1, 2024, following a misunderstanding between the suspect and his ex-wife, which resulted in a fight.

Olayiwole slumped during the scuffle and was taken to a hospital, where she was confirmed dead by a doctor on duty.

The corpse has been deposited at the Ifo General Hospital morgue for autopsy.

Ogun Police spokesperson, Omolola Odutola confirmed the incident and stated that the suspect has been arrested and detained.

This incident comes days after a 39-year-old man, Olusegun Tinubu, was allegedly stabbed to death by his wife, Comfort Tinubu, in Ibadan, Oyo State.

The suspect has been detained, and the state police command has launched an investigation into the incident.
