MAPOLY Honors Omo-Baba-Tisa, Others at Inaugural Distinguished Entrepreneurs Awards

Moshood Abiola Polytechnic (MAPOLY) hosted its inaugural Made-in-Mapoly Distinguished Entrepreneurs Awards and Exhibition yesterday, celebrating exceptional entrepreneurs who have significantly impacted the Nigerian economy.

This event is part of MAPOLY’s commitment to fostering entrepreneurship and innovation among its students and alumni.

Among those honored at the ceremony was Dr. Adeyinka Adegbite, a renowned broadcaster and assistant general manager of Fresh 107.9 FM, Abeokuta. Known as Ọmọ-Bàbá-Tíṣà, he received recognition for his innovative contributions to education.

Other distinguished awardees included Mrs. Doyin Kukoyi from Gbajumo Osere, Mr. Hakeem Salami, the developer of an educational app, and Mr. Adeola Yusuf, a respected journalist specializing in Oil and Gas reporting.

The event featured Dr. Hafiz Oyetoro as the guest lecturer and aimed to promote entrepreneurship, innovation, and economic growth, aligning with MAPOLY’s mission to produce skilled and entrepreneurial graduates.

MAPOLY’s Rector, Dr. Adeoye Odedeji, commended the awardees for their commitment to entrepreneurship and job creation, stating, “Their exceptional leadership and innovation serve as an inspiration for the next generation of entrepreneurs.”

Themed “Skills! Not Just Degree,” the event also included an exhibition showcasing products and services developed by MAPOLY students and alumni, further underscoring the institution’s dedication to nurturing entrepreneurship and self-employment.

The award recipients expressed their gratitude to MAPOLY for the recognition and reaffirmed their commitment to contributing to Nigeria’s economic development.
