Ogun Governor Sympathizes with Borno over Devastating Flood

Ogun State Governor and Chairman of the Southern Governors Forum, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has extended his heartfelt condolences to Borno State Governor, Prof. Babagana Zulum, and the people of Borno State following the devastating flood that recently swept through Maiduguri, the state capital.

In a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Media and Strategy, Hon. Kayode Akinmade, Governor Abiodun expressed his deep sympathy for the victims of the flood, which has resulted in a severe humanitarian crisis in the state.

He emphasized the need for immediate support from all compassionate Nigerians to alleviate the suffering of those affected by the disaster.

He said “while natural disasters of that nature were inevitable, the prompt response like that of the government of Borno and the Federal Government would go a long way to ameliorate the situation and bring about immediate relief for the people.”

“I commiserate with my brother, Prof. Babagana Zulum, and the people of Borno State over the devastating flood in the State, which has resulted in humanitarian crisis of high magnitude.

“The Government and the people of Ogun State are with Borno on this period of agony and we shall continue to pray for them,” the statement read.
