Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has emphasized his determination to swiftly complete capital projects initiated by his administration. He assured that these projects would be finished on schedule.
Adeleke made this statement on Friday during a site visit to an ongoing flyover project in the Okefia area of Osogbo, accompanied by Mrs. Margaret Oguntala, National President of the Nigeria Society of Engineers, and her team.
The governor expressed satisfaction with the project’s progress and the contractor’s performance, stating that the contractor had proven their ability to meet project specifications effectively.
“I am not a governor who stays behind the desk. While I’ve been monitoring the project from the Government House, I felt it necessary to visit in person because I am eager to see these projects completed,” Adeleke remarked. He praised the quality of work and reiterated his commitment to transforming the capital city as promised during his campaign.
Following the inspection, Oguntala praised the project’s quality, noting that the use of local engineers was a positive step. “The standard of work is impressive, and we are pleased with the governor’s choice to employ Nigerian engineers for this job,” she said.
Consultant Mr. Dayo Eluyemi assured that the project is adhering to the specifications and international best practices. “We are conducting integrity tests on the piles to ensure the work meets global standards. We will deliver on time as promised by the governor,” Eluyemi confirmed.
