The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has dismissed reports that its official X (formerly Twitter) account has been hacked and hijacked by unknown individuals.

In a statement, the EFCC described the claims as “false and misleading,” stating that its account has not been compromised.

The Commission explained that a technical glitch occurred while updating its biography on the app, but the issue has been reported to the X Support Team and is being resolved.

The EFCC assured stakeholders that its official X account will be fully functional soon and thanked them for their understanding.

The Commission’s other verified channels of communication remain available for news and information.
