The Lead Pastor, Victory Life Bible Church, Apostle Lawrence Achudume, on Thursday said he is missing his late wife, Rev. Fola Achudume, who died on Saturday, August 3.

Achudume spoke while receiving members of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Ogun Council, led by the Chairman, Wale Olanrenwaju, who were on condolence visit at his residence in Abeokuta.
He noted that she had finished her race on earth and died peacefully.

The lead pastor added that he would forever miss his wife , saying that he believed she had slept in God.

” I am missing my wife. We have been together for 32 years . My wife slept in God. There is no devil in my wife’s death . She has finished her race . Am proud of my wife doing what she was called to do.
” I never for one day stopped her from doing what she wants to do. She was fulfilled .She lived well and died peacefully.
” I was with her when she died .

” My wife was passionate about women having good homes . She has programmes for secondary school girls to teach them morals, same with boys.
” She has transformed prostitutes, brought them to church and also empower them.

” My wife will be missed ,” he said
Achudume, who appreciated NUJ for the visit, noted that his late wife was passionate about journalists.

He recollected the era of crisis that bedeviled the Ogun NUJ, saying that most meetings he had with leaders of the union then for peaceful resolution, were engineered at the background by his late wife.

” NUJ has always been partners with VLBC . You played strategic positions in the nation . You are a beckon of hope to the masses, voice of the voiceless,” he said.
Achudume hinted that the burial ceremony would be on August 21 and August 22 .

Earlier , Olanrenwaju explained that the late Rev. Fola Achudume served diligently, saying that instead of mourning her, she deserved to be celebrated.

The NUJ chairman described the late reverend as a woman of virtue, who devoted all her life to serving humanity and God.

He explained that she was a pillar of support to journalists in the state and was also a supporter of women at all time.

” She was a coach, marriage counsellor, a teacher, a preacher and epitome of humility.

” Her character while alive should be emulated by other women in the society.
” We pray that you live long sir. We commiserate with you and assure that your wife is with the Lord .

” God will keep the home, be with the children and be with the church,” he said.
Olanrewaju assured that the union would be ready to participate in the burial arrangement.
