Police Service Commission Approves Promotion of 7,194 Inspectors

The Police Service Commission (PSC) has approved the promotion of 7,194 Inspectors of Police to the rank of Assistant Superintendents of Police (ASP 11). The promotions follow the recent Inspectors Board interview held at Police Zonal Command headquarters nationwide.

The PSC’s spokesperson, Ikechukwu Ani, confirmed that the approval has been conveyed to the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olukayode Egbetokun, for implementation.

The list of promoted officers includes Ejiogu Eunice, Tiedei Deizigha, Falade Kayode, Agorua Chinedu, Noel Atuwa, Simon Oguche, Mohammed Maikuma, Somalia Maisamari, A’aron Gama’Àiki, and Adesina Bosede.

Others promoted are Otoboh Theophilus, Olaifa Idowu, Abdullahi Yari, Labaran Musa, Benedict Mamman, Gaiyu Sharafa, Maureen Odogie, Oboh Samuel George, Anthony Oliver, Amos Noku, Justin Boniface, Cleopas Kosulo, and Daniel Eneche.

PSC Chairman, DIG Hashimu Argungu (rtd), congratulated the newly promoted officers, urging them to demonstrate greater commitment to national duty.

He noted that their promotion comes at a critical time for the nation and encouraged them to contribute to preserving Nigeria’s democracy.

Argungu also assured that the commission will continue to ensure timely promotions in the Nigeria Police Force, emphasizing that the promoted officers must conduct themselves within established laws and work towards eliminating banditry and terrorism.
